The Senior Account Engagement Director will work alongside other team members in the US, and the NA center of excellence in Canada as part of a collaborative and dynamic team to come up with custom strategies and loyalty programs for various clients and clients of interest in their market(s). Frequent travel will be required to Canada for regular visits with the entire Loyalty Marketing team, as well as within the United States to visit existing and potential clients. While you’re not on the road, working virtually from a home office is an option for this role.

Our client is a leader in the North American Loyalty Marketing industry that provides loyalty thought leadership to Fortune 1000 organizations. They are looking to grow their presence in the United States, and are looking for Account Engagement Directors to add to their team. This position will be an ambassador for our client in the US marketplace. They will provide leadership, strategy and direction for new business grown and development.

Responsibilities:

•    Be accountable for Loyalty Marketing business growth and development and identification of opportunities nationwide
•    Lead consultative and strategic selling initiatives with senior loyalty marketing decision makers across North America
•    Demonstrate deep expertise and thought leadership on loyalty marketing concepts and initiatives in a number of sectors including special focus on retail and financial services
•    Be effective in managing account assignments to bring in new clients and to increase business with existing clients
•    Be responsible for developing appropriate contacts at different levels within client organizations and working with client contacts to develop projects which link our clients’ resources and assets to client needs
•    Achieve “steps-to-the-sale”; objectives including thoughtful planning, in-person visits with clients and prospective clients and coordinating marketing activities
•    Engage in solution development, pricing and proposal writing in collaboration with the Loyalty Marketing team that close sales
•    Be accountable for timely and accurate sales plans, pipeline forecasting and reporting for all account growth activities
•    Develop and approve scope change strategy with client approval
•    Develop opportunity briefs and lead subsequent solution development process
•    Ensure timely flow of information and documentation of all client related activity within the project team to and from the client
•    Manage project team members from varied disciplines and levels within the organization (often through in-direct reporting lines)
•    Be accountable for overall client satisfaction for assigned client, group of clients or segment of a key client
•    Ensure client satisfaction with project delivery and overall relationship with our client; including providing leadership/oversight to client service and/or delivery teams as required to successfully meet client project objectives
•    Resolve client satisfaction delivery or other issues responsively and professionally
•    Develop and maintains in-depth knowledge of the client’s business, marketing programs, brands, competitors, strategies, sector, etc.
•    Lead the creation of a vibrant, energetic and client centric atmosphere on all client/project teams
•    Champion collaboration to lead client focused solution development
•    Work effectively together to create a positive employee experience and work environment
•    Develop relationships with US/international client leaders to identify and leverage solutions, best practices and cross border opportunities
•    Ensure management of projects within Quality Management System requirements.

•    The ability to understand the client’s sales and marketing strategy and develop value-added solutions
•    Strong team orientation and ability to build rapport with team members from a distance
•    The ability to effectively leverage diverse areas of expertise toward a common client objective
•    Excellent written and oral communication skills
•    Strong interpersonal skills and are a self-starter/quick-starter
•    Related experience in a strategic marketing or conceptual sales environment consulting with senior and executive-level management
•    Minimum 5 to 10 years business experience with meaningful loyalty marketing experience in the mix
•    University education complimenting strong business acumen

•    Financial services background/knowledge is an asset
•    Proven business development success selling to VP and CMO level of $1B+ organizations
•    Experience and patience with longer sales cycles (6-18 months)
•    Hyper-focused and passionate about value creation
•    High-level, consultative and strategic approach
•    Tenacious and hard-working
•    Passionate about brands and loyalty
•    Charismatic, well presented and articulate
•    Strong understanding of the current digital space and how to leverage
•    Charged by the idea of building on our client’s brand and being accountable for developing business opportunities.
•    Interest or experience with public speaking, becoming a thought leader
•    Extensive experience in brand, loyalty marketing, loyalty CRM and digital
•    Established reputation and personal brand within loyalty marketing, digital (data), brand
•    Comfortable working independently and working virtually with support team and leadership
•    Proven ability to create concise and accurate briefs
