Social Media Specialist

Located in Mississauga, this Intermediate Level Social Media Specialist role will execute brand growth and development for an internationally recognized social beverage. You will facilitate the management of the digital activations and lead day-to-day community management of social media platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Partnering with internal team members and external agencies, you will brainstorm, develop, execute and report on post-program analysis of the marketing programs
  • Actively seek out and maintain proficiency in existing and emerging social media technologies to make recommendations on how the brand can leverage new technologies/digital tactics as a community manager and within social marketing
  • Actively participate in the day-to-day dialogue within social marketing platforms using a distinctive, knowledgeable, friendly, and fun tone of voice promoting brand marketing objectives; address consumer inquiries and respond to consumer complaints; comment on consumer posts
  • Creates content calendar for social media platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, and the main brand website
  • Use social media management tools to create and execute posts relating to the products, brand platforms, events, trivia, and lifestyle.
  • Analyze the performance of social media marketing programs to increase traffic/engagement on main landing page, Facebook and Twitter
  • Optimize tags and feed titles on sharing sites including You Tube, communities, and search engines through copywriting, creative, anchor text, and keyword optimization
  • Exhibit a sense of urgency by monitoring, prioritizing, and responding in “near” real time

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of social media marketing or online public relations demonstrating past successes in social networking channels such as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Foursquare, etc.
  • Project management experience, writing reports, and effectively presenting information to managers
  • Experience leveraging data analysis to drive strategic direction and best practices
  • Strong leader and collaborator with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills and familiarity with Google analytics and Radian 6
  • Experience with CMS, Meta tags, keyword research, Website analysis/analytics, e-mail Campaigns / auto-responders, testing and tracking
  • Excellent oral communications and extensive experience in all forms of written communication
