Umbrella — an international production and animation house based in Budapest — is searching for a producer for a new Toronto/Montreal company expanding into the Canadian market. Our goal for the next year is to produce Canadian-Hungarian co-productions (film, TV and commercials), taking advantage of our cost-effective resources abroad in order to deliver very high product value.

We encourage our producers to have their own personal projects as well, as Umbrella and its assets can provide help in numerous ways.

Requirements

• Experience in producing feature films, TV shows or commercials
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Effective communication skills
• A creative thinker with a go-get-‘em problem solving attutude
• Fluency in French is a plus
• Experience in post-production workflows is a plus

Tasks

As the chief Canadian contact, you will be required to:

• oversee and manage overall Canadian/US operations
• represent the company in the Canadian market
• seek new business opportunities
• create budgets and schedules
• hire crews for various productions
• keep abreast of new talent in the market
• report to management (financial, operational etc.) monthly

Compensation

• Salary + commission from the productions
• Company support for your own projects (shorts, music videos, commercials, etc.)
• Access to resources and production and post-production facilities for your own projects
