Leo Burnett Sydney and Bundaberg are back… heaven help us all
When last we visited our friends at Leo Burnett Sydney and their Bundaberg Rum client, sugar millers were busy obliterating crocodiles (and then apologizing for it. Twice.)
But it’s a new day, a new rum, and a new direction as they announce Bundy 5, an all-new white rum.
VCU Brandcenter and friends ask you to be STILLforJAPAN
Exactly four months ago today, the nation of Japan was rocked by a devastating earthquake and tsunami that left thousands dead, many times more displaced, and untold damage to the country’s infrastructure. And while this traumatic event has faded from the headlines, a new campaign envisioned by students and friends of the VCU Brandcenter launches today, encouraging people the world over to be STILLforJAPAN.
Publicis Mojo puts the “super” in Hahn Super Dry
What goes into making a great beer? Pure spring water, the finest hops and barley, and a passion for the craft that can only come from an experienced brewmaster. But what goes into a super beer? Monster trucks, kung-fu flicks and sports trophies.
The crew Down Under at Publicis Mojo Sydney have launched their very first TV spot for Hahn Super Dry, where they show just what makes this beer so super…
Happy whatever from Droga5 Sydney
This time last year, the folks at Droga5 Sydney saved Christmas by having one of their juniors come up with an agency greeting idea for every day of the month. You know, kinda like an advent calendar minus the vaguely chocolate pieces of wax.
Leo Burnett, Bundaberg Rum apologize for their apology
Two weeks ago, Leo Burnett Sydney had the audacity to explode a crocodile (!) with a golf tee (?!) in an awesomely ridiculous spot for Bundaberg Rum. Last week, the company issued an apology, explaining that the croc had not actually been detonated… but ended up being spit-roasted.
Leo Burnett Sydney’s awesome Bundaberg ad leads to awesomer apology
Last week in the Inbox we featured an ad by Leo Burnett Sydney for Bundaberg Rum that was quite possibly the most amazing ad ever — or at least that week. So awesome was the ad that I felt compelled to tell the ECD behind it how awesome it was. (Andy DiLallo’s response? “It means a lot to hear positive feed back from people outside the project.”)
Leo Burnett Sydney creates mindless fun for “the thinking man’s rum.”
Aussie spirit Bundaberg is “the thinking man’s rum”, or at least that’s what the tagline in this 60 second TV spot by Leo Burnett Sydney says. But I implore you, dear Inbox readers, leave thinking out of the equation when you give this one a watch. Trying to wrap your brain around this awesomeness will only cause your head to explode.
Go Wilson, go! DDB Auckland presents one lucky dog for NZ Lotto
Some ads for lotteries go for comedy, others pull at the heartstrings. Here’s one that finds a happy medium.
Auckland’s DDB Auckland has created a majestic 2 1/2 minute spot for The New Zealand Lotteries Commission featuring the perilous journey of Wilson, a fox terrier with a heart of gold (and a mouthful of something as good as gold)
Ogilvy HK: Shangri-La hotels are amazing. Getting to one though…
Whoever coined the phrase “getting there is half the fun” was probably not going anywhere that exciting. I, for one, am not a big fan of “the journey”. I get about an hour into it before I’m wishing I’m already there. Throw in the fact that that I can’t sleep on planes or trains, and I’m one cranky traveller.
Fortunately my travels haven’t been nearly as harrowing as the poor chap in this epic, three-minute spot by Ogilvy & Mather Hong Kong for Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts.
DDB Mudra has a healthy appetite for VW Beetle’s curves
Despite the best efforts of those who try to get young women happy with their bodies, it’s a world where size zeros still grace the runways and magazine models are Photoshopped beyond reality. Luckily, DDB Mudra in Mumbai is announcing that with the Volkswagen’s New Beetle, curves are definitely in this year.
