Y&R New York loses its head over the NY Post
If there are any constants in New York City, it’s that traffic is always horrendous, you will always find a deal on Canal Street no matter how many cops are around, and The New York Post will always have some attention-getting, sensationalistic headline to make you roll your eyes.
The Post may be America’s oldest daily newspaper, and while it might be a local institution, young people aren’t exactly snapping it off of the newsstands in this digital age. Enter the Branded Content division of Y&R New York.
Toyota competition winner: “I’ll have her on her back by 11″.
Ah, here’s a classic ad situation: the oft filmed scenario of a young man meeting his date’s father on the doorstep before a night on the town. Only this time there are a hell of a lot more wink-wink nudge-nudge say-no-mores you’re used to seeing in an ad.
Saatchi NY brings JC Penney back to the Doghouse
When you have a winning idea, why change things?
That seems to be the thought behind Saatchi & Saatchi New York’s latest spot for JC Penney. Picking up where last year’s beloved “Beware of the Doghouse” campaign left off, Saatchi returns to the doghouse with… well, “Return to the Doghouse.”
Four hands are better than two: Saatchi Sydney for Toyota hybrid
Everybody knows that hybrid cars are supposed to be good for the environment or something, but not everybody can explain how they work.
Saatchi’s kiss can never be broken
Of all the bonds in the world, none hold stronger than the ones of true love. When two people love each other deeply, nothing can tear that bond asunder, not friends, not foes, and certainly not bombs dropped from fighter jets.
Fallon, Saatchi go to the dogs for a new Dairy Milk spot
Here we go again, another glass and a half full of joy brought to you by Fallon London and Dairy Milk. This time around, they’ve teamed up with Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney to put several different breeds of dogs in a Dairy Milk-purple Lamborghini Diablo and took them for a spin, all to the strains of Strauss’ Blue Danube Waltz
Saatchi’s Ghost Tiger Beeeeeeeeeer! Bwahahahaha!!!
Aaawwwwwooooooooooooh! Sorry, loyal Inbox readers, just channelling my inner Count Floyd Monster Chiller Horror Theatre. (look that one up, kids) It’s almost Hallowe’en, and here comes an ad in honour of the ghoulish holiday.
Saatchi goes mano-a-mano (and roboto) for Tiger Beer
How do you decide who gets the last beer? A friendly little arm wrestling should do the trick, but as this entertaining 60 second spot for Tiger Beer by Saatchi & Saatchi’s Kuala Lumpur office shows, such tests of brawn and machismo can easily get out of hand.
Do you deserve a “big ad gig”?
We at ihaveanidea know just how tough it is to break into the advertising business. We hear about it almost every day from our younger readers, and we see it en masse at Portfolio Night, where thousands of attendees look for that first big break.
So it’s with great interest that we take a look at The Big Ad Gig, a competition for extremely ambitious wannabe art directors and copywriters to publicly vie for a chance for a one month spot at Crispin Porter + Bogusky…
Washroom multitasking via F/Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi
There have been many water conservation messages over the years, but none have been as wacky in this 45 second spot by Sao Paulo’s F/Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi. The ad points out that flushing toilets uses thousands of litres of water, and it would be much less wasteful if you’d pee while you’re in the shower instead.
