JWT London is turning the air Pear
The UK is a veritable Candyland, with chocolate bars and sweets of all sorts that are rare or completely unknown on this side of the pond. One such treat is called the pear drop, a yellow and pink pear shaped candy with a distinctive (but not necessarily pear) flavour.
Well a new company called Drop Drinks has gone and put that great taste into a soft drink, and the folks of JWT London invite everyone “turn the air pear” in pretty much the grossest way possible.
Award Show Bedlam! D&AD, Marketing Awards winners announced
Hello ladies. Look at the award shows. Now back to me. Now back to the award shows. Now back to me. Notice something? Yes, Wieden + Kennedy Portland and Old Spice are still cleaning up at the big international shows. They’ve just picked up not one but two very rare Black Pencils at the 2011 D&AD Awards today, not to mention three Yellow Pencils, two Nominations, and two pieces they figured would be good enough to throw in their upcoming annual.
JWT London has Kit-Kat breaking balls
You know that thing that some people have? You know, that metal ball thing that people have on their desks? Well it’s only in recent years that I learned that the thing actually has a name. It’s called the Netwon’s cradle, and it makes a perfect gift for a business executive in a 1980s TV show.
JWT London cranked up the scale of such a device and took it out of the white collar world and into a blue collar one for Kit-Kat.
JWT NY gives Jose Cuervo drinkers “a shot of adventure”
I don’t know how the rest of you feel about tequila, but generally speaking, it’s one kind of booze that doesn’t usually agree with me. So when I saw these trio of TV spots for Jose Cuervo by JWT New York and directed by Tom Carty on Georgeous@Anonymous Content, I’m gonna have to take their word on the “Shot of Adventure” tagline
Run for your lives!!! She has The Bears!!!
Rule #487: There are few things more creepy and disturbing than an angelically cute child.
Case in point, this silly but amusing 60 second spot by JWT Melbourne for Kraft Nuts Peanut Butter. Watch as an idyllic family picnic turns to chaos in the blink of an eye with the addition of a cherub faced random girl.
JWT shows integrity through the eyes of a paparazzi
There are few people more reviled for doing their jobs than the paparazzi. That reputation doesn’t come from thin air; many of them invade the personal lives of others just to make a quick buck.
JWT helps stories meet for the Melbourne Writers Festival
There’s a trend in advertising — I don’t know what it’s called, but let’s say it’s “narrative typography” — that’s been going on for a few years now. You know the one, where the visuals in the ad consist of a typographic representation of every single word spoken in the voiceover. They’re very cool to look at, but don’t often appear to be relevant to the product or service being advertised.
