Cundari goes the lon-nnn-nng route for BMW
Like any copywriter worth his weight in Moleskines, I love a good long copy ad. Crafting one, reading one, it doesn’t matter. Holding that magazine or newspaper in your hands and delving right in is a wordsmith’s joy.
Unless, of course, the ad isn’t in a magazine or newspaper.
The folks over at Toronto’s Cundari have stepped up to the challenge and created a long copy ad for the internet crowd. And when I say long, I mean lonnnnnnnnng copy — over 5500 words. It’s a vertical banner ad for the 2011 BMW x3, and if you got your scrolling finger in shape, it’s a good read. They’re calling it the world’s longest banner. I don’t know about that claim, but be sure to have a bookmarker ready.
