DDB Paris presents: The History of Hip-hop in four minutes
For those that don’t know me, if there’s one thing that outshines my love of 007, it’s my love of hip-hop music. It takes up a good 80% of my iPod, and and back in the day I used to rhyme on the Toronto underground circuit (big up Planet Mars!) I’m a cranky old man nowadays, hating on most of these new cats, but hey, I’m the only guy in the senior citizens home with a Public Enemy tattoo.
DDB Paris has released a video to promote Trace Urban, a French urban music station. The four minute-plus spot features renowned beatboxer Eklips firing off a continuous stream of hip hop beats, pretty much in chronological order.
Off the top of my head, these are the songs that he’s doing. Yeah, I am lost towards the end of it all, now get off my lawn!
