“Jancy” to become legendary

Janet Kestin and Nancy Vonk are the co-CCOs of Ogilvy & Mather Toronto, but to the ihaveanidea audience, you probably know them better as ‘Jancy’, the unique ad industry columnists of ‘Ask Jancy’, an ihaveanidea staple for over seven years.

Well now here’s a new thing to know Jancy as: legends. Yes, Janet and Nancy will be among the inductees in the 2011 Canadian Marketers Hall of Legends next April.

We are pretty sure their work at Ogilvy — which includes a double Cannes Grand Prix win for Dove ‘Evolution’ — is the primary reason why they are receiving this honour, but we at ihaveanidea are more than happy to convince ourselves that it was ‘Ask Jancy’ that really earned them the accolades.
