Now YOU can give it a ponder with Y&R NY, LG

Remember when The Inbox revealed that Ignacio Oreamuno — ihaveanidea’s esteemed founder and president —sported a fake beard? Well the boss has been kind enough to lend us his facial hair for the day.

Nah, just goofing on ya. This is of course a continuation of of Y&R New York and LG‘s “Give it a Ponder” campaign, where Inside the Actors Studio host James Lipton — and his beard — encourage teens to think before they spread malicious rumors and other not-quite-savoury stuff via text and the interwebs.

The ads in that campaign showed young people wearing James Liptons luxurious beard, but what if you could sport the same facial hair while chatting to your friends via iChat? Well thanks to the wonders of technology, now you can, my friends, by downloading an app that uses facial recognition to add a digital beard to your face.

We tried to get Stephanie to try out the app, but it doesn’t appear to work well with people who already have beards.
