‘Drenched’ goldfish pushes it to the limit with CHI & Partners
They say you’re supposed to drink eight glasses of water a day for optimum health. I’m sure I get that much into my system every day, only my water tends to be carbonated with lots of sugar and coke syrup or Kool-Aid crystals in it.
London based CHI & Partners demonstrate how important staying hydrated is when it comes to brain function…
BBDO Toronto, Tropicana bring the sunshine way up north
Make no mistake, this has been one unusual winter, as far as the weather is concerned. Snow in Florida and Texas, crippling storms throughout much of the American northeast, and yet here in ihaveanidea’s Montreal base — a place normally buried under three feet of white stuff all season long — we are having one of the mildest, non-threatening winters in recent memory.
But one thing is certain: no matter what the weather patterns are like in most of the continent, if you go far enough north, it is always bitterly cold and very dark this time of year.
Award Show Bedlam! Tomorrow Awards, One Club Creative Hall of Fame
For anybody who has ever wondered when award shows would do away with categories and judge ads based on the way consumers actually view them, for anybody who has ever thought they could do a good job at judging work but never knew when they’d get the opportunity, for anybody who has asked when award shows are really gonna give back to the next generation of creatives, well we at ihaveanidea can tell you exactly when all this will happen.
Tomorrow.
Now YOU can give it a ponder with Y&R NY, LG
Remember when The Inbox revealed that Ignacio Oreamuno — ihaveanidea’s esteemed founder and president —sported a fake beard? Well the boss has been kind enough to lend us his facial hair for the day.
Getting on TV is no Picnic, says GPY&R Melbourne
In recent years, a lot of advertisers have been going the “user generated content” route, and one of its most popular forms has been the “create an ad and the best ideas get on TV” technique that has worked so well for Doritos and the Super Bowl.
But the people at GPY&R Melbourne have come up with a little twist for Cadbury Picnic — a pretty hefty chocolate bar for those who don’t live in the parts of the world where it’s sold.
PSFK’s good ideas; a creative rogues gallery; Burn Back burns again
Happy post-Valentine’s Day/Presidents Day/Chinese New Year/Family Day to everybody out there! Here are a few things that came in during this holiday weekend.
Happy surprises at the ihaveanidea Towers today when we received our spanking new copy of Good Ideas in 2010. If you’re unfamiliar with this tome, it’s the latest annual by the crew at PSFK. It’s a bound compilation of the absolute coolest, most engaging creations they featured on their site in the past year — and that’s saying something, since they usually feature at least two or three cool things every day.
Guess who’s coming to Tết? TBWA\Vietnam
This Sunday is shaping up to be a holiday extravaganza, with Valentine’s Day and Chinese New Year taking place on the same day. (If you’re single and not Asian, I guess you’re SOL.) In Vietnam they celebrate a very similar holiday to Chinese New Year on that day called Tết.
