Christmas comes late at ihaveanidea
Happy New Year! Yes,we’ve said goodbye to 2009 in a nice little year-end recap, and the 2010 engines are starting to run again here at the ihaveanidea towers in Montreal. Slowly but surely we’re all returning from our Christmas/New Year’s destinations. I just got back from family and friends in Toronto, Nat is on is way back from Thunder Bay, Steph and Ignacio returned from sunny climes (Mexico and Panama respectively) and Rafik, who doesn’t believe in silly things like Christmas, came from twelve subway stops away.
But the Inbox’s… um, inbox doesn’t stay untouched while we are away from it. In the days before December 25th we received a few Yuletide greetings from agencies who weren’t fortunate to take off early.
First up, our good friends at David&Goliath, who sent us a postcard depicting lovely, lovely El Segundo, California. If you’re familiar with the LA area city, or saw our D&G agency profile from ’06, you’ll know that El Segundo is less about palm trees and sandy beaches and more about oil refineries and sewage plants.

Meanwhile on the opposite coast, Hispanic agency Wing sent a video talking about what they changed about themselves in 2009, and what they hope to accomplish in 2010.
As you can see from the video, one of the main things they got rid of was their old “Wing Latino” name. But where do names go when they are retired. The same places everyone else goes: Miami Beach, as depicted in this blog.
Now that’s just great. A bunch of vowels and consonants get to frolic in the sun while we at ihaveanidea are subjected to minus 20 degree weather. Ah well, don’t worry, give us all a day to adjust and the Inbox will be back in full frosty form.
