My Name Izzo: Crispin mashes Enimem, Jay-Z for DJ Hero
Many moons ago, I was working part time in a popular Canadian automotive/hardware/sporting goods store (Canucks, you know the one) I used to bring in music to play in the warehouse, and one time I brought in a cassette of some guy called Eminem. Virtually all of my co-workers despised it, yet six months later they were all running around singing “My Name Is”, completely oblivious to the fact that they hated it earlier.
So here we are, ten years later, and we got Slim Shady and “My Name Is” featured in this Crispin Porter + Bogusky spot for Activision’s DJ Hero. and I can’t help but wonder how many of my old co-workers would be hating this ad, but secretly playing the game in their basement.
