Canada’s Greatest Creative= $100 gift card?
Kudos to Marketing Magazine — one of Canada’s top industry publications — for creating the Great Canadian Creative Faceoff, a competition where the public nominates who they think represents the best of Canadian talent. Marketing took all the nominees, narrowed them down to a svelte 25, and now it’s time for voting!
The list is pretty diverse in terms of agencies and cities, and there’s a few ihaveanidea regulars on it, so it should be pretty interesting to see who wins out in the end. But we have to say that the grand prize for the winner is rather underwhelming: a flight to Toronto and a hotel to attend the ceremony and a $100 gift card…. and if you live in Toronto, replace “flight” with “cab ride”. Come on Marketing! This is for Canada’s top creative! At least throw in some maple syrup and a poutine.
Voting for the first round wraps up on October 20th, and although the competitors are strictly Canadian, the rules don’t seem to limit where the votes can be from. Click here for all 25 choices.
