“Paulie wants a cracker!” zig takes a bite out of Vintas
Let’s face it, when was the last time you’ve seen a good ad for something as mundane as a cracker. Unless you dress them up like hors d’oeuvres, they only marginally beat out melba toast for snacktime blandness.
But leave it to the folks at Toronto’s zig to come up with a campaign for Vinta crackers that stands well above the traditionally slight bar for the low-involvement category. The TV spots feature the tumultuous relationship between a woman and her cracker obsessed Jimmy Buffett fan of a boyfriend.
