Kimbo Slice wants to f@%# up your caterpillar
Poor Kimbo Slice. A year or so ago he was the most feared man on the planet, a back alley street fighter with a beard carved out of granite and a liquid nitrogen stare, prepared to take on the world of mixed martial arts. A 14 second loss on national TV later, and now he’s doing battle with a caterpillar in a strange but funny spot for Norton Internet Security 2010.
Not happy to settle with just one bizarre metaphor, they’ve also compared your hard drive and viruses to an uncooked chicken and 80s metal band Dokken, best known for…. ummm… oh yeah, the theme song to the third Nightmare on Elm Street flick.
There is one little downside to the campaign. Norton uploaded these videos to their YouTube page, but did not incorporate that interactivity that so many other YouTube ads are doing these days (as previously shown in the InBox here and here) You don’t get to choose Allow or Deny in YouTube land, you have to watch the entire ad again to see the different endings.
But tell that to Kimbo or Dokken and they just might blow up your chicken with crotch thrusts.
