Publicis & Hal Riney, Anonymous, The Mill go rabbit hunting
Ever see Watership Down, that animated (but not really for kids) 70s movie about a group of rabbits searching for a home? There’s a hauntingly beautiful scene in the film featuring ghostly images of rabbits running through fields and meadows, all to the Art Garfunkel tune Bright Eyes.
That’s the first thing that came to mind when I saw this new spot by San Fran’s Publicis & Hal Riney for U.S. Cellular. The ad, entitled, “Shadow Puppets” was filmed on the streets of Wellington, New Zealand, catching the real reactions of passersby as they watched shadow puppet rabbits projected onto buildings.
The spot was directed by Garth Davis of Anonymous Content & Exit Films, with the post production handled by The Mill.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I got an old movie to reacquaint myself with.
