Art & Copy opens in select US cities this Friday
If you see one movie this weekend, go see Inglourious Basterds. Apparently it’s all kinds of awesomeness.
But if New York, Chicago, Denver or Seattle are your stomping grounds, you’ll definitely wanna consider the One Club-backed documentary Art & Copy, a film directed by Doug Pray. The movie is all about creativity and inspiration in this crazy world we call advertising, and features some pretty heavy hitters: Lee Clow, Dan Wieden, Jeff Goodby, Hal Riney and other members of the pantheon of ad gods and goddess all make an appearance.
We’ve heard nothing but praise from people we knew who saw it on the festival circuit earlier this year, especially from our readers who saw it at Toronto’s Hot Docs Festival back in May. This time around, you’ll find it at the following locales:
- NEW YORK: IFC Center
- CHICAGO: Music Box Theatre
- DENVER: Starz Filmcenter
- SEATTLE: Northwest Film Forum
Alas, Montreal is not on this list, so we’ll have to settle for Brad Pitt butchering Nazis instead.
