PSFK’s Top Ten “Good Brands”
Did anybody catch PSFK’s Good Brands Report last week? The ‘trends research company’ is always good for a daily dose of stories on their website that curious ad and design people will find fascinating — even when they don’t directly relate to advertising and design.
Over the past several months, PSFK has been compiling a list of brands that frequently get mentioned in their online publication, determining which of these brands are “good” when it comes to things like innovation, environmental responsibility and social collaboration. Each brand was graded on these points, then sent to the esteemed members of PSFK’s Purple List to be culled down even more.
So what are the top ten “Good Brands” of 2009?
#1. Google
#2. Apple
#3. Zipcar
#4. GOOD Magazine
#5. Amazon
#6. Facebook
#7. Virgin
#8. Twitter
#9. IKEA
#10. Skype
Wow, I personally connect with six of those brands on a daily basis.
Of course the report is not just a top ten list, but a series of key insights to take from each brand on the list. It would be well worth your time to head on over to their site to download a PDF copy of the report, and start thinking about how these insights could be implemented into the brands you work on.
