Washroom multitasking via F/Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi
There have been many water conservation messages over the years, but none have been as wacky in this 45 second spot by Sao Paulo’s F/Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi. The ad points out that flushing toilets uses thousands of litres of water, and it would be much less wasteful if you’d pee while you’re in the shower instead. To demonstrate this, the whimsically animated spot has everybody from King Kong to Gandhi aimin’ for the drain.
Unsurprisingly, the ad’s message has caused furious debate at the ihaveanidea Towers. Should this apply to women, or only men? Is the alternative to to get out and use the toilet, but track water all over the bathroom floor? And what about splashback, people? We have yet to arrive at a conclusion, but until we do, ihaveanidea’s bathroom is off limits to all.
