Wendy’s jumps to Kaplan Thaler
The band has stopped playing on yet another round of Wendy’s agency musical chairs.
According to AdAge, the fast food giant has handed over the steering wheel of the $300 million account to New York’s Kaplan Thaler, as the fast food giant struggles to find its post-Dave Thomas voice. Kaplan Thaler was up against the likes of The Martin Agency, BBH, Venables Bell & Partners and incumbent Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners.
This is definitely a big plus for Kaplan Thaler, but after Wendy’s has jumped from McCann-Erickson to Saatchi & Saatchi to Kirshenbaum, all within a few years, we hope they don’t put all their eggs in one basket. Then again, the AFLAC duck could always lay some more for them.
