The Martin Agency “chooses the moon.”
Where were you on July 20th, 1969?
If you were anybody like me, you weren’t even born yet. But our parents, grandparents and millions around this spinning ball of of mud we call Earth gathered around televisions and radios to learn that one of humankind’s dreams and JFK’s missions was being realized. Man was walking on the moon.
40 years later, The Martin Agency in Richmond, VA has recreated the Apollo 11 mission online, in its entirety and in real-time, for the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum. The website, named wechoosethemoon.com after a line in JFK’s historic Rice University speech, rebuilds every step, and the digital version of the spacecraft will touch down on an online Sea of Tranquility this Monday afternoon. This time, we can gather around out laptops instead of the living room TV set.
And since this is The Martin Agency, we’re wondering if they’ll jazz things up by having Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin accompanied by the Geico gecko.
