Philips, Glue London talk about sex. A lot.
Boy, it really seems like Philips has a handle on this Twitter thing. A few weeks ago, we posted a piece in The Inbox about Tribal DDB Amsterdam’s Philips vs. Anything campaign, which heavily involved the microblogging technology. This tim around, they’ve teamed with kick-ass Glue London to promote the Philips “Sensual Massager”.
The vehicle? Philips Sex Talk website, which features an image of a couple in action (not sex action… at least not yet) with dozens of words, from the innocuous the salacious, in a beautifully done tag cloud over their bodies. Mouse over one of the words and you’ll find out how many people tweeted that word in combination with the word ‘sex’ today, plus be shown an example of one of those tweets.
There’s also a running tally on the left hand side of the page, adding up the number of times ‘sex’ is tweeted today. There are 15,852 so far today, and it’s not even noon yet here at the ihaveanideaTowers. I would’ve said at least half of those tweets belong to Jay, ihaveanidea’s VP of Stuff, but I’m not sure if he’s even on Twitter.
