EURO RSCG New York snags Heineken, Heineken Premium Light
Euro RSCG, which already handles Heineken USA’s fast-growing Dos Equis brand, won the Heineken Lager and Heineken Premium Light accounts following a review involving Heineken’s existing roster shops, including incumbent Wieden & Kennedy, StrawberryFrog and TBWA/Chiat/Day.
Ogilvy & Mather present “The Fastest Indian”
In what appears to be a Benicio del Toro flick directed by Robert Rodriguez meets Bollywood meets Smokey and the Bandit, Ogilvy & Mather Mumbai present “The Fastest Indian”, a 60 second spot for the Bajaj Pulsar 220 cc, a brand of Indian motorcycle.
English beer trounces Australian brew in a campaign by DLKW
The 2009 Ashes series has officially kicked off, pitting the Australian national cricket team against England, in a long standing rivalry that might puzzle North Americans as much as the game of cricket itself. Trust us, it’s a big deal in the UK, and tensions are running high… only to be cooled off by rain delays in Cardiff, Wales.
Powering up at a Burger King drive-thru
Wow, imagine that: a really cool story about Burger King that doesn’t have CP+B’s name in it!
I caught this over at PSFK (who in turn saw it on Auto Blog Green) where they featured a Burger King in New Jersey whose drive-thru is being fitted with energy generators that capture the kinetic energy of cars slowing down to grab their Whoppers and fries.
Sorrell. Lévy, Hagerty & Pandey talk about the ad biz on BBC tomorrow
Looks like the BBC is going to have quite an interesting debate this weekend, featuring some of the top top TOP dogs in the advertising business.
According to Campaign UK, the BBC will be airing The Insider Debate on Advertising tomorrow evening, with a panel consisting of Sir Martin Sorrell, CEO of WPP; Maurice Lévy, CEO of Publicis Groupe; Sir John Hegarty, Chairman and Worldwide Creative Director of Bartle Bogle Hegarty; and Piyush Pandey, Executive Chairman of Ogilvy India.
