In North America, much is said about rising levels of obesity, due to our sedentary, TV watching, video game playing lifestyle. But over in India, they appear to have this problem licked, as seen in this TV spot by Lowe Mumbai for Idea Cellular.
Chalking up another one for Nike, LIVESTRONG
The 2009 Tour de France is just underway, and all eyes are on seven-time winner Lance Armstrong, who has come out of retirement to compete. Along for the ride this time is the Nike Chalkbot, an amazing piece of machinery that’s part farm equipment, part inkjet printer.
We got our copy of Killed Ideas Vol. 1…
… and it’s pretty sweet, sorta like an awards annual for ads that never ran. In essence that makes it no different than other awards annuals. ZING!
In all seriousness, Killed Ideas, the project created by Blurb and curated by Adrants’ Steve Hall is a great concept. 50 of the greatest ad and design ideas that never saw the light of day until now, all in one slick volume that gives these gems some semblance of the dignity they deserve.
Nike congratulates Federer’s Wimbledon win… on BBC
So Roger Federer defeated Andy Roddick at Wimbledon yesterday, setting a new record for number of Grand Slam wins at 15. Immediately after the win, Nike had this bad boy out of the gates to congratulate Federer on this milestone.
Vatican Radio starts running ads for the first time ever
Not to be outdone by the forward-thinking North Koreans, it appears that the Vatican City will also start allowing advertising in state-owned media. According to the BBC, Vatican Radio, the official radio station of the Holy See and the Roman Catholic Church, will start broadcasting ads for the the first time in its 78 year history.
