Hooray capitalism! North Korea’s first beer commercial
Everybody loves beer, even heavily sanctioned, fiercely communist, alienated nations!
For the first time ever, North Korea’s hardline government has allowed beer to be advertised on TV. State-owned Taedonggang Brewing Company launched its first TV spot today, and, well, let’s just say it has a long way to go before “The Pride of Pyongyang” will be vying for a Clio.

Regardless of the spot’s quality, it’s a pretty big step forward for a country that normally dosen’t have any advertising on television.
