BBH Singapore, David&Goliath Build Their Creative Depts
The hiring of creative talent has taken a beating in this economy, but two of ihaveanidea’s Portfolio Night 7 host agencies have both made significant hires in their creative departments.
First off, BBH Singapore, who has just hired Senior Art Director Adrian Chan, who is ranked as the top creative talent in the region by Campaign Brief Asia — a really big accomplishment for somebody only three years into the ad biz. Hey, you’d be up there too if you won Gold Lions and Pencils so early in your career!
Adrian’s not the only one joining the BBH team. Copywriters Elena Fletcher and Daniel Ko, and Art Directors Lauren Tan and Janson Choo are also on board for the ride.
Steve Elrick, Regional Executive Creative Director, BBH Asia Pacific (and latest interview over in the Creatives section) had this to say to the people over at Campaign Brief Asia: “It’s always good to shake things up and these guys will certainly do that. Change is good. As is pizza. It’s not about the gongs they have won but about the way they think – and how that thinking will be zoning in on some of our Clients’ brands. It’s also a signal from BBH that we are constantly open to getting the freshest thinkers in the business and applying their particular and unusual talents to what we do.”
Meanwhile, over in Los Angeles, PN7 LA hosts David&Goliath have brought on two new Associate Creative Directors: Steve Yee and Rodrigo Butori. Says Colin Jeffery, D&G’s Executive Creative Director: “Both Butori and Yee come from such dynamic and bold backgrounds, and have proven their abilities to lead and create innovative work. We are thrilled to bring two new people on board whose fearlessness and fresh, exciting ways of expressing ideas will certainly benefit our clients.”According to Butori, he was drawn to D&G due to its “boundless creative mindset and brave mantra, which is something I strongly believe in.” Adds Yee, “We’re excited to get our hands dirty and produce exceptional work.”
