TV has (finally) been trumped in Cannes’ Film category
Remember when BMW Films came out? So different, so unique was this “online mini-movie” that despite it having the word “film” in its name, it won glory at the 2002 Cannes Lions, not as a Film winner, but as the Cyber Grand Prix. Back then, “Film” meant TV or cinema spot.
“Cannes Zions” Promotes Israeli Advertising
The Cannes Lions might be winding down (isn’t tonight usually the major party night?) but the Cannes Zions website is in full swing. This project is “kinda like our way of saying to the world “start paying attention to the Israeli advertising community,” says Dori Ben-Israel, head of Mizbala, a Tel Aviv based agency specializing in guerrilla marketing.
Killed Ideas: People’s Choice
By now you know about Killed Ideas, the project created by Blurb and curated by Adrant’s Steve Hall that resurrects truly great advertising, design and marketing ideas that somehow never made it out into the real world. Our friends over at Leo Burnett Worldwide have sent us their annual Cannes prediction list, and we thought this was a perfect piece to share with the ihaveanidea audience.
Do you Digg this ad?
A few months ago Digg decided to ditch Microsoft’s ad platform and politely told them “we’ll take it from here.”
Digg now has announced a new type of ad platoform integrated into their very own core of user-submitted and rated content. Instead of just slapping in a banner into the content and charging advertisers a bulk [...]
