Crispin Porter + Bogusky’s beta site
Oh Crispin, is there anything that you do that isn’t newsworthy?
Obscure Boulder, CO advertising agency Crispin Porter + Bogusky, obviously jealous the new ihaveanidea site, has launched a beta version of their own website. Described as a “giant digital fishing net” by agency spokesmodel Alex Bogusky, the new site aggregates all things CP+B, collected from the world wide web. The site does the same thing with all of its major clients.
GS&P, Transistor play a little footy with Sprint
Soccer is in the air, what with the Confederations Cup just wrapping up and all, and Goodby, Silverstein & Partners has partnered with Transistor Studios to create Cash Keeper, a pretty sweet soccer-esque online game for Sprint.

AdAge wants you to rebrand Yahoo!
It’s fair to say Yahoo! hasn’t enjoyed the same success as its main competitor Google in the last few years. Having undergone multiple reorganizations, a number of CEOs, and an on again, off again love story with Microsoft, the newly appointed management team is looking to give the brand back its once envied place in the online landscape.
Wrath of Cannes Winner Tells His Tale
Last Thursday, while the advertising world frolicked on La Croisette at the Cannes Lions Festival, New York ad agency Woods, Witt, Dealy & Sons held the third annual Wrath of Cannes “award” show in Brooklyn. Beer was savored, the state of the industry was discussed, leading to more beer being savored, and dozens of juniors and students displayed their wares in hopes of winning the Grand Coney, the highest honor at Wrath of Cannes — if you can call a trophy of a man with his head up his ass an honor.
Fake Brüno Crashes Movie Premiere To Promote Nando’s
Sacha Baron Cohen has garnered a ton of press in recent weeks, pulling off outrageous stunts all over the world in order promote his latest film. But at the Sydney premiere of Brüno last night, the man known for sabotaging others’ events had the tables turned in the form of a stunt by Melbourne ad shop The Sphere Agency, promoting Nando’s Chicken.
It’s All About The Roosevelts
While having suburban white boys rapping in ads for comical effect is nothing new, this cinema/viral spot by DraftFCB Orange County for Taco Bell’s value menu is pretty entertaining. Technically, dimes “bling” more than paper money anyway.
George Lois on the Creative Revolution
World famous. Legendary. Pretty damn accomplished. These are all ways to describe George Lois, one of the most iconic art directors in the history of the business. His career stretches back to the mid 1950s, and includes authoring a series of books, designing the most memorable covers of all time for Esquire magazine (many of which have been permanently installed in the Museum of Modern Art) as well as being inducted into the One Club Creative Hall of Fame and Art Directors Hall of Fame.
Brand Burma
You’re probably familiar with the dreadful situation in Burma right now. Calling it a mess would be quite the understatement. Foreign companies still operating there are seen by some as indirectly supporting what’s essentially turning out to be a quiet genocide by the military regime.
The Tiny Aston Martin (by Toyota)
Aston Martin, the luxury automobile brand driven by the the well to do (and fictional British super-spies) is teaming up with Toyota to launch the Cygnet, a “supermini commuter vehicle” for the low, low cost of $33K US.
A tiny, affordable Aston Martin? I wonder if Mini-Me will be appearing in the campaign…
