Last month, we at ihaveanidea launched our first ever user survey. We were looking to see what people liked about the site, and what they’d like to find in our upcoming revamp. Well the revamp is still a bit of time away, but we’ve already received thousands of survey replies from just about every corner of the planet, with all sorts of feedback and suggestions to make the new ihaveanidea even better.

One of the more common requests we received early on was to spice up the Creatives section of ihaveanidea by including video interviews. And as luck would have it, we had a great opportunity to do a full video interview with two renowned creative directors: Philippe Meunier, ECD of Sid Lee in Montreal and Amsterdam, and Erik Vervroegen, world famous freelancer.’ So the ihaveanidea team grabbed the video camera and headed over to get it all on film.

Since we had a bit of time before the actual day, we put the word out to ihaveanidea fans to submit the questions they wanted us to ask Erik and Phil. We figured that since people wanted video interviews, they also wouldn’t mind the chance to come up with the questions as well. We received dozens of questions from ad people all over the world, and the best ones were featured in the interview.

But enough with the prefacing, let’s get into the video, an interesting little number we like to call Cooking With Erik & Phil. You’ll hear about the new Sid Lee office in Amsterdam, where both men get their inspiration from, and when Erik is going to open up an agency of his own.
