I want to believe in the government. I really do. I want to trust that my money is not simply falling into this huge black pit. But I am worried. When I have to finally pay for my education, will I have a career to help me do that?

The stink of it is that people are so worried about the election that, while the bailout or (at this junction) the lack thereof does get coverage. No one is freaking out. Am I simply overreacting. I would rather not experience the Great Depression.

Onto greener pastures,

I am a painting major and I have set my sights on the BrandCenter for grad school. Woohoo me. Now I just have to get in. Deciding is half the battle though. How did I come to this conclusion you may ask? Over the summer I was accepted in the Martin Agency Student Workshop, and may I just say that it was amazing. Oh Martin Agency how I love you. If you are a student, I highly recommend that you apply. I never thought I would ever learn so much about underwear. That's why I like advertising.

I'm applying for the student workshop at the martin agency right now. Any suggestions to make my application snap, crackly and pop?

As corny as it sounds... be yourself. Show them that you can approach a problem from a totally different direction. Be articulate. Make them believe you know what you are talking about. MAKE SURE YOU SEND A RESUME AND PORTFOLIO!!! It shows your thought process. While you're at it, make sure you have someone else look at what you are doing. Sometimes you can be too close to a project. Just be unique. From what I can tell, everyone has something that only relates to them. Show it.

Great Luck!

Thank you so much. I know about the Friday Speaker Series, but are they having it this week with the reading days going on?
