How do I prove my value after my partner has left?

Hi Jancy,
My art-director is about to leave to join a girlfriend of his abroad, thus stopping advertising for a while. We’ve done good work together, but most of the times, I’ve had to drag him along with me to get better ideas, to be more ambitious and to want to reach higher. However, with him gone, I’m a bit worried my creative directors will decide to let me go as well… So: have they noticed I was the ‘brains’ of the team ? (without wanting to sound like a total jerk!) The best thing for me would be to stay, and get to work with someone better than me, to reach even higher… How do I bring this in to my creative directors?
A lot of questions, I know… What do you think? Thanks a lot!

intro How do I prove my value after my partner has left? There is no need to sit your CD down to flag that you were the real power in the partnership. Your best strategy is to walk into whatever new partnership(s) offered and do your best. Nothing will speak louder about your abilities and ongoing value than terrific work. Stay positive and keep shooting high.
