How can I make the most of my job seeking time?

Hello Jancy,
I’ve recently completed a freelance placement, have refined my portfolio and sent them out to agencies again. Besides working on my book, how can I make the most of my time while looking for my first full-time advertising job? Would like some advice!

intro How can I make the most of my job seeking time?Go for face time with senior creative people at any shop that’s of interest. Offer to buy a coffee or just pop in for 15 minutes to hear their perspective on what they look for in a young creative hire/freelancer. Most big talents are generous about sharing insights and if the ask for time is small you’ll get in to see people. Besides the stuff you can learn it’s the start of networking—one of the best ways to get your name out and start forming relationships that can translate to good word of mouth if not a job.
