Too old for skinny jeans, am I too old to break into the biz?

Hi Jancy!
Since I spent most of post undergrad time either bartending or acquiring an MFA in Writing (pause for eye-roll) I’m older than your average beginner in the Ad Game.
I am very interested in copywriting and have always been a fan of creative ads in general, but at 34, am I too late for the Prom. Ad School seems like a way in, but I don’t know if I can still squeeze into my skinny jeans.
I should mention I have done a few freelance jobs (contacts I made through friends/bar regulars/drunks )revising and creating content for websites and it has been both rewarding and the clients were happy.
Be harsh, I can take it, I was a child actress so rejection is kind of my thing…
This website has been an awesome resource, btw. Thanks!

intro Too old for skinny jeans, am I too old to break into the biz? This is one of our most frequently asked questions. The short answer is no, you’re not too far along in life to get into the ad game. Even if you don’t attend school in your skinny jeans. If you’re passionate about the field and willing to work hard at it, age won’t be the barrier. Find a strong program and go for it girl.
