I’m sick of advertising, how do I make the (costly) leap to animation?

I am a writer with five years of experience, good brands in my portfolio, good salary and good work in my portfolio but no awards.
I am sick and tired of advertising (maybe because I loved it so much once upon a time).
I want to switch to animation. But in order to go to a good animation school, I need a motherload of money which I can earn only through advertising. But how can I when I am this dispirited?
I have the following options:
a) Gain back my faith and enthusiasm for advertising through some kind of miracle, and realize that this animation thing is just a passing fad.
b) Get US$ 30,000 through cyberbegging and join Vancouver Film School.
c) Do an extremely well-paying but dumb advertising job in Middle East, save a bunch of money and join Vancouver Film School.
d) Do an extremely well-paying but dumb advertising job in Vancouver, save a bunch of money and join Vancouver Film School.
e) Switch to digital advertising (only kind I have some enthusiasm left for, but no experience) make a bunch of money and join Vancouver Film School.
f) Sell my short-story collection, make a bunch of money and join Vancouver Film School.
p.s.: All the other financing options are off. So don’t bother.
All the options are equally idiotic and improbable. Is there a ‘g’?

intro Im sick of advertising, how do I make the (costly) leap to animation?Well the good news is, you know EXACTLY what you want to do. And just as clearly, what you have no interest in–advertising. (Any notion of ‘switching to digital’ seems unlikely to turn around the ship based on your lack of enthusiasm for that. It’s where the business is going but without real passion for it, success isn’t that likely). The Vancouver Film School is one of the best in the world. You get what you pay for. Of all your “dumb” ways to save for school, ‘d’ sounds best. But we admit we took a dart and threw it at the list. Best of luck.

I’m also sick of advertising – but I’m not in advertising.  Tell me what MY options are.
