Getting my company noticed by ad agencies

I just opened my own company – an artist based animation studio. I believe that my creativity, professionalism and the unique way I approach my work can be of benefit to any ad agency. What would be your advice regarding introducing my services to ad agencies? Is there any effective commonly accepted way to submit a demo? Would the senior creative director be the right person to approach? In most cases ad agency people seem to be too busy for phone conversations or meetings. Would mailed materials be more effective?

intro Getting my company noticed by ad agenciesHere’s a sad but true observation: a call to the head of broadcast production with an offer to bring in lunch for the creative department with a show and tell about your work usually does the trick. Works at our place, anyway. Short of that, send your work to heads of broadcast—it’s their job to see who’s out there and share with the creative department. It behooves all writers, art directors and creative directors to see your work, assuming you could bring excellence to their jobs.
