Awards in South Africa vs. fresh start in London?

I’m currently working in studio at a large international agency in South Africa as an assistant art director, and was planning to move over to London and try my luck at getting a job there, (either in studio or as a junior art director). The problem is that I had an idea that my ECD said could win me some international awards. The question now is do I go over to London and try my luck at getting a job at a decent agency and making my life in London, or stay here and hopefully win some awards?

intro Awards in South Africa vs. fresh start in London? Is this award winning idea sold to the client? If so, see it through for a stronger book when you check out jobs in London. If not, include the idea in your book anyway represented as tight as possible. CD’s don’t have a problem with work that hasn’t been produced in a junior book. They’re looking for your ability to have great ideas first and foremost.

If you’re interested in the move to find a better opportunity for growth, we encourage you to go for it. One good campaign opportunity probably isn’t going to change your overall feeling you could do better elsewhere.
