Panic attack in front of client… HELP!

I just walked out of a meeting and had a panic attack during my presentation. This happens to me sometimes when I’m in stressful situations. I’m worried that the client and my team were horrified and they think I’m an incompetent junior. Do you have tips on how to do good presentations?

intro Panic attack in front of client... HELP!Been there, done that. The best way past that is practice, practice, practice. The more meetings you present in, the easier it becomes. Meanwhile there are many training courses in every city that coach people on how to get past their nerves and panic, and find tricks to basically just be themselves in the room. Tell your CD you know you’ll benefit from presentation training, and ask if he or she can arrange for it. If not, it’s worth looking into yourself and paying for yourself. It will help you get back up on the horse. It will give you skills that will last your whole career.

Don’t worry too much about getting flustered. As a junior people cut you a lot of slack. You have the opportunity to take control of the situation and act on it in a positive way. You’ll be fine. And remember most people have been through some version of your experience–you’re not a freak.
