Will I like an ad school like Creative Circus?

I am 24 years old and have recently decided to go back to school. I started thinking about advertising as a career and picked up your new book to see if it could help. I can honestly say that it may well be one of the greatest purchases of my life. Thank you for writing it! I feel like I’ve recently become friends with you, so I’m really pleased to make your aquaintance. That being said, here’s my question, it’s a two parter.
As I have waited this long to decide on formal education, the idea of starting an ad program somewhere, hating it, and wasting that much time and money is absolutely terrifying. Do you have any suggestions on how to get an idea of whether I’m going to enjoy this or not? Your book is a page turner to me and I think that’s a good sign. (hmmm…insert deep thought, apprehensive sigh, and screwed up face here) Next question is about schools. I have read about schools that you respect and have seen good work come from. I recently stumbled upon a small school in Atlanta, GA called the Creative Circus. Have you heard of them? Do you know anything good, bad, or otherwise about them? Thanks for taking the time.

intro Will I like an ad school like Creative Circus?Glad you liked the book, and we do suspect if you were really taken with the way advertising sounds from all that, it may be calling your name.

We strongly believe a good ad school is worth the money. You could “waste” much more if you flounder around for years without a portfolio that could get you a good job.

It may be fate indeed that you stumbled on the Creative Circus. It’s a great school and we visited there recently on our book tour. We are now official fans. Check it out; if you’re fortunate enough to get in we think you’ll have a good shot at a happy career in Adland.
