How would you rank the award shows?

Which are the most prestigious award shows for creative people in America? I mean, how would you rank them on their ability to get me job openings?
Specifically, how would you rate the New York Festival Print/Outdoor?

intro How would you rank the award shows?Awards do indeed enhance your value. The right ones will help you get the interviews and the jobs. Your salary will increase. Your profile will increase. They aren’t by any means the only measure of a creative but unfortunately they’re one of the few tangible kinds of evidence in our industry that point to excellence. Win a gold Cannes Lion and see what we mean.

Any award is nice, but the ones that really count are the One Show (Pencils are amazing but even appearing in their awards annual is considered an honor), Communication Arts (no medals—all of the work they recognize appears in their awards annual as equals), the Clio Awards, Andy Awards, Cannes, and D&AD in Britain. There are many other very respected shows but these rank as the most coveted. It’s also a thrill to show up in any number of trade magazines that showcase the best of the best. Archive, Creative Review; the list goes on. At a “local” level there are some amazing shows, like Boston’s Hatch Awards, that are badges of honor as well.

The New York Festivals is nice to have, but is not considered as difficult to win as the shows just mentioned. So, not as impressive, but worth including on your resume.
