To team up or not to team up, that is the junior job hunt question.

What’s your take on junior writers and ADs with little or no experience attempting to job hunt as a team? Are agencies more likely to hire a pair, or will they sooner partner them up once they’ve been hired?

intro To team up or not to team up, that is the junior job hunt question. It doesn’t hurt to look for work as a team, as long as you’re open to separating as necessary, and let potential employers know you’d like to work as a team but are also up for being hired as individuals. It’s always hard to find a junior position, so you’ve got to be flexible. It’s also probably premature to be so sure you want to get married before you’ve worked with various partners. There’s no question that the right partner makes all the difference. But usually, experience leads you to that perfect fit (if you’re lucky enough to ever find such a thing). If you and your partner end up working at separate jobs, know you can always circle back in the future if your experience with others confirms that you were a dream team. When you’re more senior, many employers prefer to hire proven teams.
