Headhunters and juniors

I was just wondering what your thoughts are on ‘headhunters’. Are they irrelevant for a junior or entry level person looking for a job?
Thanks in advance…

intro Headhunters and juniorsHeadhunters don’t play much of a role in placing juniors. Agencies pay a commission to use them, and juniors are generaly easy to find without a headhunter’s help or expense. We’ve met two great headhunters. Most of them don’t truly know a great book from an ok one, in our experience. They can certainly be helpful, and we’ve found some terrific people through them. But the very best creatives are well known and a good CD can simply contact them directly.
