What’s been the toughest moment of your career?

Here’s a tough cookie for you.
What was the hardest moment of your amazing career and why? What can other people in the industry learn from that? Thanks Jancy…:)

intro Whats been the toughest moment of your career?Since Janet’s not here I’ll speak only for myself. There are so many hard moments it’s hard to pick one Biggest. This business is not for sissies. As an art director, seeing strong ideas die never got easier. We once had a terrific campaign for Rolo in the can, ready to ship, when the client got cold feet. It was true tragedy. And it’s happened several times in my career. It’s hard to suck that up. As a creative director, the hardest moments (and I hate to say that in the plural) have been losing accounts that we’ve done successful, award-winning work for. When clients expect their advertising to solve problems that advertising can’t solve, it’s a road to disaster. But don’t get me started! I’m afraid there isn’t a lot to learn from these examples, except start growing a thick skin now. And save your best, dead work for another day. You never know when another client may be able to use that idea.
