When they say “keep in touch” is it really bullshit?

I read in one of your other responses that a CD wouldn’t say “Keep in touch” if he/she didnt mean, but everyone I have shown my book has said that. I mean EVERYONE. So what does that mean? Does everyone really want to see me again? It sounds like a bit a bullshit to me.
Signed, I NEED A JOB!

intro When they say keep in touch is it really bullshit?Ok, I’m sure some of those CDs may have been being “polite”. However, they have all given you a green light to bug the shit out of them, which you must. Because being in the right place at the right time is a big part of landing a job, perseverence is a must. Call each of those CDs once every 3 weeks, or send e-mails with your latest spec ads. When one of them finally has an opening, you’ll be top of mind. Of course this assumes they think you’re very talented. The ones that were just trying to be nice (which we agree doesn’t do you any favours) aren’t going to respond. However, this technique will force them to give you better cues to know when to give up on them (like, “go away now.”). Keep building your book, giving you the excuse to keep calling. “I’d love your opinion” is often an easy enough thing for a busy CD to do.
