The first day I arrived in Boston it was wet and cold; I crossed my fingers and hoped that this wasn’t going to set the tone for the first Portfolio Night in Boston. The next day, May 4th, was 80 Fahrenheit (25 Celsius or so to me), an omen that everything would go as planned … I hoped.

But, this wasn’t the first time ihaveanidea had been to Boston. Last year Ignacio came to New England with Jancy to talk about “Pick Me” the book based their ihaveanidea column, “Ask Jancy”. There Ignacio met Shane from Modernista!, and the rest is history.

Months of planning produced the most organized portfolio review Boston had ever seen, with 30 some students and 21 reviewers in every nook and cranny of National Boston’s production facilities.

Sound of cows and chickens (used to indicate shift changes) echoed as students eagerly moved from station to station. One student I spoke to even made the trip up from Florida.

Overall, I think the event went well – and hopefully next year it’ll get bigger and better
